GREEK FICTION Petros Tatsopoulos was born in 1959. He studied Finance and Political Science and worked as a social worker, journalist and TV anchor, among others. He is a prominent political figure, having been an MP from 2012 to 2014 and a representative to the Council of Europe. He has published more than 20 books and his work has been translated into English, German, Turkish and Czech. His novels have been translated into French, Italian, Serbian, Turkish and Bulgarian. He is the recipient of the 1999 Kostas and Eleni Ourani Foundation Award by the Academy of Athens for his novel The Power of the Dark God and the Prix du Rayonnement de la langue et de la littérature françaises médaille de vermeil by the Académie Française for his body of work translated into French.
