- 1 1 - The Quest, The Reversal, The Gleam Nikos Themelis Alexis Panselinos (born 1943) is one of the most prominent Greek authors. He studied Law at the University of Athens and worked as a lawyer up until 1997. He debuted in 1982 with the short story collection Stories with Dogs . In 1997 he was the Greek candidate for the European Literary Award (Aristeion) with his third novel, Zaida or The Camel in the Snow . He has also translated novels from English and German. It also includes a note from the author on his influences and critical notes on Themelis’ work. Nikos Themelis (1947-2011) was a prominent, award-winning novelist and political adviser. He studied Law at the University of Thessaloniki and then in Germany where he did his Ph.D. He worked at the Agricultural Bank, the Ministry of Finance, and the Legal Service of the Council of Ministers in Brussels and was an associate of former Greek Prime Minister Kostas Simitis.
