I Am the Goddess Athena

Ι am the daughter of Zeus andMetis the Wise. From a very young age my father was like a god to me, but then that’s how lots of children feel about their dads. Before I came into this world, I was constantly on my father’s mind. My father thought about me so incredibly much that he got a terrible headache. One day, he decided he should do something to stop these head- aches by getting me out of his head. There were a lot of other gods present, feeling sorry for my father whose head was hurting so much. And suddenly there I ap- peared, bursting out of his head fully armed just like he had con- jured me in his divine imagination: in a golden armour, holding a shield and a spear, ready for battle.
